My wife has taken a female lover. While in a sense my relationship with my wife has not changed in that she remains the dominant, I have also taken on the semantic label of “cuckold.” The Cambridge Dictionary offers the following definition for a cuckold:
cuck·old /ˈkəkəld,ˈkəkōld/
noun: a man whose wife deceives him by having a sexual relationship with another man.
verb: If a man is cuckolded, his wife has a sexual relationship with another man.
The term seems inadequate in describing my role, but it the absence of a term that describes the role of a man whose wife has sex with a woman, it seems misogynistic to insist the extramarital partner be a man, so I have accepted the label of cuckold. In pornography, the male in MFF relationships is generally dominant. Indeed, Googling “MFF threesomes” produces a plethora of images where the male is penetrating one of the females or is in some other way being served by the women. Further, the extramarital partner in cuckold relationships, the “bull”, is frequently dominant, and in the present case my wife seems to dominate her female lover.
To understand my potential role in this relationship, I looked for “types of cuckolds.” Some modifiers for “cuckold” include:
Waiting Cuckold – cuckold waits out of sight during sex.
Voyeur Cuckold – cuckold watches but does not otherwise participate.
Threesome Cuckold – the cuckold participates in sex.
Submissive Cuckold – seems to be more a state of mind of the cuckold (who might otherwise fall into one of the other categories).
Dominant Cuckold – wants full control of his wife and her lover.
Sissy Cuckold – the cuckold is feminized (and may or may not participate).
Bi-Cuckold – the cuckold engages in sex with the bull.
Oblivious Cuckold – the cuckold is unaware of the extramarital affair.
Humiliation Cuckold – the cuckold feels embarrassment.
The first three labels form a continuum from no participation (waiting, not even viewing) to complete participation (threesome). The next two labels also form a continuum from submissive to dominant. In a sense, a Sissy (dresses the role) and Bi-cuckold (performs the role) are also related, although the latter clearly does not apply to the present situation. The Humiliation Cuckold seems to be related to Submissive and Dominant Cuckolds in that all three involve a state of mind (rather than a clear action). Clearly, it is possible to have multiple labels, except for the Oblivious Cuckold, who is simply unaware.
In my one experience playing the role of a cuckold, I was clearly a voyeur, but I felt submissive and humiliated. I generally feel submissive towards my wife, so that feeling was not foreign to me, but I do not recall ever feeling the same level of humiliation as I felt when my wife had sex with someone else. That humiliation may be derived in part because my wife’s lover is also dominant towards me, and as a submissive toward two strong women, I should naturally feel inadequate. Upon reflection, I now understand the feeling I experienced previously when I have been forced to wear a chastity device, when I have been pegged by my wife, and when I have been occasionally forced to wear feminine clothing is also humiliation. Coming to an epiphany regarding my feelings, I asked my wife straight up whether she enjoys humiliating me, to which she simply replied “yes.” And so, apparently, I have become a Humiliation Cuckold.
